In the beginning

My first day volunteering at Catton Park was November 5th 2020. I assisted the warden (Matt) with planting some daffodil bulbs, mulching young plants with woodchip and litter picking.

I help out one day a week and the work is varied and very rewarding.

There's lots to do as the park covers 70 acres of grassland and woods.

I would like my blog to show what is required in maintaining the park, in order to preserve its beauty and make it enjoyable for all visitors.

I will be sending in regular posts so you can see what I get up to through the different seasons and hope that anyone who reads these will find it of interest.
